The Valken M17 is a great mag-fed paintball gun perfect for tactical paintball – but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it yours! A few key upgrades and modifications can make this great mag-fed paintball gun even better!
Accuracy is everything, especially in mad-fed paintball where you don’t have 200 paintballs in a hopper to hit a target with. An upgrade to the barrel, to something a little longer will tighten groups over all ranges and give you a greater chance to hit your target.
Many players using the M17 make great use of its ability to feed First Strike rounds, providing longer range and accuracy! If First Strike rounds are your ammo of choice, adding a red dot or even a variable zoom scope to the top accessory rail of the M17 becomes a great option, as this will allow a player who takes the time to get sighted in to deliver First Strikes with devastating accuracy at ranges other players can’t touch!
Thanks to the accessory rails surrounding the barrel of the M17, accessories like a vertical foregrip for steady aim and easier handling are easily installed. Other options include lights and lasers if close-quarters combat is in your future!
It’s always a good idea to pick up a few extra magazines for your loadout. Paintball gunfights mean shooting and moving, reloading and shooting again, so reaching for a magazine and finding empty pouches is never a good idea.
Mag-fed operators sometimes like to move their air tank off their rifle to make their paintball gun easier to handle, and lighter. A stock that accepts a remote is available for the M17 that will let a user run a much larger air tank carried in a pouch on their loadbearing gear, allowing for more shots per fill, more paintballs downrange and a lighter gun in their hands!
