Does an airsoft BB hurt when you get shot?

This is a common question. It is probably the most frequently asked question by new players thinking about participating in airsoft for the first time. The answer is yes, and no. It really depends on the velocity and the range of the shooter. For the most part, getting hit under 50-feet on exposed skin will definitely hurt. Under 25-feet with a high velocity gun will most likely break skin or cause big welts. So it’s best to be prepared and wear protective clothing and gear, such as full sleeves, gloves, helmet, and face mask. Getting hit by a high velocity gun is no fun, but with the proper apparel and gear, it can be a fun and immersive experience.
