Can I use propane instead of green gas?

If you use green gas, you're already using propane. Green gas just includes a special lubricant that keeps the seals and O-rings in a gas gun from drying out and cracking. Domestic propane is cheaper, comes in a safe container, and is available at any local hardware store. Airsoft bottled green gas has to be imported or shipped, which also adds a hazmat shipping charge. You can use propane to power airsoft gas guns, but you will need an airsoft propane adapter and GBB oil. The adapter fits standard Coleman propane cans and standard airsoft fill nozzles. The GBB oil is needed to keep the system lubricated. Using propane without any GBB oil will quickly dry out rubber seals and O-rings forming leaks, which will cause gas guns to malfunction.
