What are airsoft biodegradable BBs made of?

  Biodegradable BBs are often required by outdoor fields where sweeping or collection of spent BBs is not an option. Biodegradable airsoft BBs (aka “bios”) are made of various types of resin, often developed for the agricultural industry, and better makes are certified as compostable. Commonly used plastic resins include polylactic acid or polylactide (PLA) which is based on renewable materials like corn products and certain starches.
